ScoreThatRide
Terms of Use
Effective date: July 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Sporthorse Online, LLC, a California company (“Sporthorse Online”, “we”, “us”). They apply to the ScoreThatRide website at sporthorse-online.com/scorethatride and the ScoreThatRide app at scorethatride.sporthorse-online.com (together, “ScoreThatRide”). By using ScoreThatRide you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What ScoreThatRide is
ScoreThatRide lets spectators at dressage shows submit their own scores for rides and follow audience results and leaderboards. It is for entertainment and audience engagement only.
Audience scores are not official competition scores. They are separate from the scores given by the show’s officials, they do not affect official results or placings, and they must not be presented as official results.
2. Spectators
- You can score rides without an account, and taking part is free.
- Each spectator may submit one score per ride. Do not try to submit more, for example by using several devices or browsers, or by automated means.
- If you add a name or a comment, keep it respectful. Do not post anything abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful, and do not share another person’s private information.
3. Show manager accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a plan.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the actions of collaborators you invite.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone has used your account without permission.
4. Your show content
You keep ownership of the show information you enter or import, such as classes, ride lists, and rider and horse names. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to run ScoreThatRide for your show.
You confirm that you have the right to publish the content you add, including the names of riders and horses, and that offering spectator scoring is permitted at your show. You are responsible for following the rules of any organization that governs your show.
5. Moderation
Show managers can review the scores and comments submitted for their shows and remove ones that are inappropriate, duplicated, or invalid. We may also remove content, or suspend or close an account, if we believe these terms have been broken or that it is needed to protect ScoreThatRide or its users.
6. Plans and payment
- Spectators always take part for free. Show managers need a paid plan to offer spectator scoring. The current plans, prices, and limits are shown on the plans page.
- The Starter plan is a one-time purchase. The Pro Organizer plan is a subscription that is billed monthly or annually and renews automatically until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By buying a plan you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for the plan and, for subscriptions, for each renewal.
- Prices do not include taxes unless stated. We may change prices. A new price for a subscription applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time. It stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for and does not renew after that.
Payments are non-refundable, including for unused time or unused shows, except where the law requires a refund.
8. Acceptable use
When you use ScoreThatRide, do not:
- break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
- manipulate audience scores or leaderboards;
- try to gain access to accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use;
- interfere with or overload the service, or introduce malicious code;
- copy, scrape, resell, or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.
9. Our rights in ScoreThatRide
ScoreThatRide, including its software, design, text, graphics, name, and logo, belongs to Sporthorse Online and is protected by law. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it as these terms allow. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Services from other companies
ScoreThatRide relies on services from other companies, such as Stripe for payments and Google for sign-in. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for services we do not control.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep ScoreThatRide available, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. It depends on an internet connection, which can be unreliable at show grounds. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
12. Disclaimer
ScoreThatRide is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that audience scores or leaderboards are accurate or complete.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sporthorse Online will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of ScoreThatRide. Our total liability for any claim relating to ScoreThatRide is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or 50 US dollars. Some laws do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Your responsibility to us
If you are a show manager, you agree to defend and compensate Sporthorse Online for claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from the content you add, from your show, or from your breaking these terms.
15. Ending these terms
You can stop using ScoreThatRide at any time, and show managers can ask us to close their account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, remain in effect after these terms end.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or to ScoreThatRide will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let show managers know. By continuing to use ScoreThatRide after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
18. General
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about ScoreThatRide. If a part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these terms, that does not mean we give up the right to do so later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent.
19. Contact us
If you have a question about these terms, write to us through the contact form.
